The SuperBook Bar & Restaurant at Oriole Park at Camden Yards has been open for business for several weeks. But on Friday, May 12, the latest entry on the Maryland online sports betting scene will celebrate a grand opening.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for noon to introduce the sports bar and restaurant that boasts of a 360-degree sports experience, featuring 38 state-of-the-art televisions and a 150-inch direct view LED wall.
To go along with the visuals will be what’s promised to be “elevated bar food” to go along with beer, cocktails and soft drinks.
What Is The SuperBook Bar & Restaurant?
The SuperBook Bar & Restaurant is a hybrid concept on the sports gambling landscape, meaning that it has the accoutrements of a sportsbook but not some of the typical functionality.
Patrons at the restaurant, in the Warehouse in the Orioles Park complex, will have to do their wagering on their own mobile devices at Maryland betting apps. There isn’t a sports betting counter, nor are there betting kiosks, such as the ones found in a retail sportsbook. But there will be plenty of WiFi access.
Maryland currently has nine mobile sportsbook apps and SuperBook is now one of them after launching in April. In addition, the state has 10 retail sportsbooks.
