The 2025 MLB regular season has been nothing short of a tire fire in the Charm City, with the Baltimore Orioles limping out to a 26-38 (.406) start after starting the season with a win total over/under of 86.5. Despite the team’s lackluster start, things are getting better under interim manager Tony Mansolino, with the O's going 7-3 in their last 10.
Plus, there are still a few O’s players that have a shot at representing the club at MLB All-Star Game, which will take place in Atlanta on July 15, including DH Ryan O’Hearn, infielder Jackson Holiday and pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano.
If the O's can't turn things around at Maryland sportsbooks, maybe they can still be well-represented in the Summer Classic.
BetMaryland below breaks down which players have the best chance of heading to Atlanta in July.
Player | Position | Odds | Percent Chance |
Ryan O’Hearn | Designated Hitter | -225 | 69.2% |
Jackson Holliday | Second Baseman | +600 | 14.3% |
Tomoyuki Sugano | Starting Pitcher | +800 | 11.1% |
While infielder Gunnar Henderson leads all O’s hitters in WAR (per Baseball-Reference.com), at 2.0, it looks like the team’s DH has the best odds of making it to Atlanta this summer, with O’Hearn holding -225 odds right now after racking up 1.6 WAR in 219 plate appearances this year.
O’Hearn has nine home runs and 24 RBIs in 54 games this year for the woebegone O’s, ranking second behind center fielder Cedric Mullins (10 home runs), while his RBI count is third behind Mullins (31) and Holliday (27) to date.
Speaking of Holliday, the second-year second baseman holds +600 odds of making the ASG for the first time in 2025, ranking fourth on the O’s roster in terms of WAR production (1.0) and posting the sixth best OPS (.749) and OPS+ (115) this season.
The lone pitcher to make our Baltimore ASG odds board is Sugano, who has 1.7 WAR with a 5-4 record on the bump this season, with a 3.23 ERA and 42 strikeouts to 12 walks in 75.1 innings pitched for the O’s in 2025. That performance has the 35-year-old veteran hurler third on our Baltimore ASG odds board, at +800, as Baltimore looks to turn the tide on a sluggish start to the baseball season.
The O’s currently sit dead last in the four-team AL East, 13 games back of the New York Yankees and 8.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins for the final AL Wild Card spot.

Designated hitter Ryan O’Hearn leads the pack with -225 odds, giving him a strong 69.2% probability of selection.
While still early in his MLB career, Holliday is on the radar. His +600 odds reflect a 14.3% chance, meaning he needs a strong pre-All-Star performance and fan support to boost his case.
With +800 odds and just over a 1-in-10 shot, Sugano is a sleeper pick. If he delivers standout starts in June, he could force the issue.
Fans can vote at MLB.com/All-Star. Phase 1 of voting ends June 26, with the final Phase 2 running June 30 to July 2 to determine starters.
