Any thoughts of Baltimore Orioles World Series odds as a viable wager are starting to fade. The team has started 11-18 and if the trend continues, the team might start to trade assets for future considerations. With that in mind, BetMaryland.com developed exclusive odds on the chances that the Os will trade All-Star outfielder Cedric Mullins this season.
Team | Odds | Percent Chance |
Stay w/ Baltimore Orioles | -150 | 60.0% |
Philadelphia Phillies | +750 | 11.8% |
Los Angeles Dodgers | +1000 | 9.1% |
New York Mets | +1000 | 9.1% |
The Field | +900 | 10.0% |
Baltimore stands 11-18 with one game left in April before the calendar turns to May. See our story about worst Baltimore Orioles starts since 2000 for a look at possible outcomes for this team.
What will general manager Mike Elias do if Baltimore does not turn things around soon?
The O’s have been a lost cause this season, but the same cannot be said of Mullins. The 30-year-old has posted six home runs and 20 RBIs across 27 games in 2025. He has 92 home runs and 298 RBIs since entering the league in 2018, contributing to a career total WAR (Wins Above Replacement) of 16.5, according to baseball-reference.com data.
With that solid production in mind, it’s fair to say that several MLB teams would have immediate interest should Elias opt to move the team’s starting centerfielder – a move which would keep the interest of Maryland sports betting customers for sure.
Overall, we have the O’s as the frontrunner to keep Mullins in town through the end of the MLB season, with Baltimore leading our Mullins odds board at -150 odds.
Contending clubs such as the Philadelphia Phillies (+750 on our odds board), Los Angeles Dodgers (+1000) and New York Mets (+1000) come to mind as possible trade destinations for Mullins.
One reason to believe that Mullins could be on borrowed time in Baltimore is that the 30-year-old is in the final year of his contract. Unrestricted free agency is awaiting for him in 2026 as he plays out the year on a $8.725 million contract this season.
One way or another, Elias’ hand will be forced if the O’s can’t summon some sort of magic to turn things around from Baltimore’s miserable 29-game start to the season. And veteran players such as Mullins could be among the first out the door if the AL East stalwarts opt to blow things up in 2025.
