Fanatics Maryland Sports Betting App Becomes Latest Online Operator
Fact Checked by Jim Tomlin

Sports bettors in Maryland will have another online wagering option available.

Fanatics Sportsbook Maryland successfully completed a controlled demonstration of its mobile sports wagering platform on May 30. Today, the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission issued a mobile sports wagering license to Maryland Stadium Sub, LLC, which is doing business as Fanatics Sportsbook Maryland.

Controlled demonstrations are part of the final approval process for sports wagering operators in Maryland. In a controlled demonstration, customers participate in live wagering as Maryland Lottery and Gaming staff ensure that the operator’s systems function properly and that the operator is in compliance with regulations.

Previously, Maryland Stadium Sub was issued a sports wagering facility license to operate a retail sportsbook at FedEx Field, home of the Washington Commanders, in Landover.
